Hey everyone :)TOday I am reviewing the Jessner peel from SkinPeel.comFirst, The company is providing Medical Grade acid to put on your skin. DO NOT do your own skin peel without putting in the proper research. All of the information I am including is taken from reputable sources. That does not mean that it is correct. Please double check everything I include in this post. I am not a licensed professional despite the fact that I will be in the future. I took a risk in applying acid to MY FACE. I tested it on an inconspicuous spot on my leg first. The on the side on my neck by my ear. THEN, after waiting for 4 days to see if I had any adverse reactions to the process. JessnerPeels are considered a medium depth peel. If you are curious about peels look into either a lower level peel type or only use one layer of peel. Second,It is painful. You are applying ACID to your skin. Willingly. Go ahead. Get the masochist inside of you out. Because this is not a comfortable walk in the park on a balmy day. Please. Do not expect this process to be excruciating. You should be in mild to mid discomfort. If it becomes unbearable make sure that you have some kind of neutralizer at hand. (In this particular kit it is included. A great thing seeing as many do not.) If you are unable to bear the discomfort/burning/pain please do not continue with the peel. There is some extent that one can suffer for beauty. After that point. Go see a professional and pay the money to have them do it. You can end up with anywhere from mild to SEVERE permanent scaring. That would, in turn probably need either laser or another peel to help minimize the look of. Third,You will peel, a lot. This isn't a Peel off mask. Don't expect that. Most people's skin starts to shed around day 3 or 4. Fourth,Sunblock is your new best friend. Your skin will be ultra soft and ultra vulnerable to REALLY bad sun damage. So keep that in mind. It is pertinent that you properly take care of your skin. Ok, so. Now that I am done with my PSA (Public Service Announcement) I can get on to this review. The recommended time for keeping a Jessner Peel on is 2 minutes for first time users. I have photos from my second use. I kept it on for 3 minutes. These are before my second use. I have broken capillaries by my nose and some uneven skin texture My after photos :) I have photos immediately after the peel. It looks as if I got a BAD sunburn. You have been forewarned. I also used a mixture of Argan oil and a oil based serum that I will be reviewing very soon on my skin. Then I went to sleep. The beauty of Argan Oil is that it is the same density as your skin's Sebum. It sits for a short period of time before completely being absorbed. But your skin looks AMAZING!!Although the photos look out of order.. I promise they are not. My skin *healed* itself before displaying what had really happened to the deeper layers of skin. Not everyone will have the same reaction to the peel process that I did. 20 minutes after the peel.. skin starting to get red. An hour after the peel before putting on the oil mixture My skin a week after doing the peel. (sorry my photos are all to the side. It is a habit of mine >.<) My skin feels amazing. It has helped fade the broken capillaries on the sides of my nostrils and made a few bad acne scars softer in appearance. I love my results and will continue to do a 1 or 2 layer peel every few months. The product I used is from http://www.skin-peel.com/ and the specific kit I was sent is the Jessner Solution Peel Kit. It retails on the site for $64 USD. That may seem like a lot but each peel can cost upwards of $100. Please. As I have said before, be careful. Do not do this just based on my review. Look into other sites. One that I like is Real Self http://www.realself.com/Chemical-peel/reviews Word to the wise. This site will make you want to stay away from at home peels. Look into the LOWEST POSSIBLE Strength. Unless you are licensed TCA is a bad idea. I hope this was informative. Helpful. And interesting.Until Next Time,GLITTERPUKEEE :D
